HERCULES BAXTER

Born and raised in Washington DC, Hercules Baxter was a direct student of the Great Ki Whang Kim in 1980.  It was at Kim Studio in Silver Spring, MD where Hercules met Albert Cheeks and began to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors.

In 1988 Hercules started training with Albert Cheeks at Cheeks' studio in Washington DC.  It was at this time Cheeks began one on one training with Hercules.  By 1990 Hercules obtained his 1st Dan from Albert Cheeks and Ki Whang Kim.

After completing high school Hercules Baxter came back to Washington DC and continued training with Grandmaster Cheeks. Their one on one sessions has molded Hercules into the power house that he is today.  With the Albert Cheeks stamp of approval Hercules Baxter continues to pass on the knowledge that he has learned over the years.

Hercules has lived and trained in South Korea, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia for several years. While working as a bouncer in Thailand and the States Hercules acuminated the teachings of Ki Whang Kim and Albert Cheeks.  He has and continues to compete in open tournaments always finishing in the top 3 or as grand champion just as his predecessors did before him.

Hercules Baxter is the kohai/jeja of Albert Cheeks. Hercules has only trained with and been promoted by Grandmaster Cheeks for the past 38yrs.  He obtained his 5th Dan from Grandmaster Albert Cheeks in 2017.  He has been teaching and helping people with the art of self defense since 2000. He continues to train with Grandmaster Cheeks to ensure the legacy continues for years to come.
